Lima, the capital of Peru, offers numerous fascinating attractions that showcase the country's rich history, cultural heritage and modern urban life. Here are some of Lima's most important attractions:
Puente de la Paz (Bridge of Peace)
The Puente de la Paz opened in August 2025 and has since become one of Lima's new iconic points along the coast. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge connects the districts of Miraflores and Barranco, measuring 112 meters long and 8 meters wide. The bridge features a glass floor in its central section – walking across it, you can almost feel as if you're walking in the air, while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean and the coastal landscape.


Plaza de Armas (Main Square)
The heart of Lima's historic center, surrounded by beautiful colonial buildings, including the Lima Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. The square is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an excellent place to explore the city's past.
Larco Museum
The Larco Museum is an exceptional place that displays the treasures and artifacts of Peru's ancient civilizations. The museum is particularly famous for its impressive ceramic collection and gold and silver objects.


San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs

Miraflores
Lima's modern and elegant district, famous for its seaside promenade, the Malecón, which offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The Larcomar shopping center and the Park of Love (Parque del Amor) are also located here, where you can take romantic walks along the coast.


Barranco
Lima's bohemian district, full of colorful houses, art galleries and cozy cafes. The neighborhood is famous for the romantic Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs), a favorite spot for artists and lovers.
Huaca Pucllana
This ancient pre-Inca adobe pyramid is located in the center of Lima and offers insight into the city's ancient history. Archaeological excavations and guided tours are available at the site, where you can learn about the ancient civilizations.
